The agricultural systems in southern Europe have changed little or nothing since the medieval times. The climate is always an uncertainty and the types of grounds we find in this region are usually poor. Historically and still today, the landscape is marked by the olive grove, vineyards, cereals and corn cultures.

With new investments and introduction of innovative techniques, it has been possible to develop new production forms, which allows the cultivation of other crops, namely fruit. Nowadays, Cotesi has innovative solutions for agricultural and industrial packaging, increasingly expanding the new crop protections to new markets.

Our research, expansion and concretization of new geographical markets have driven us to Africa and Central and Latin America, where we found out very interesting systems with some similarities to the ones established in Europe, but larger in dimension and scope.

The African market asks for solutions to reduce the water consumption and to protect against wind and hail in the most mountainous regions.

In Central America, the market widens our horizons with the introduction of polyester wire to replace the traditional metallic wires. In turn, our compromise in South America is to collaborate with agricultural technicians in the creation of experimental sites to test different solutions to maximize production.
